open 06:23
my eyes are open, my heart is open so i can see around me see where i am and who is here, what the land looks like, and where we may settle openness i find here in boredom: opportunity she fell from a tree and found endless space beneath hear her talk, hear her wisdom somehow, somehow touch it ache and bend my heart does for you i only write about questions live those questions i can hear the trees oh how they ground me incubate and feel the current flow we're underneath and riding along you don't have the energy, but you're in motion ache and bend my heart does for you i only write about questions live those questions my eyes are open, my heart is open

STOP 03:14
stop. catch me here and i won't be let your life rise stop. catch me here and i won't be let your life rise (as the sun) hold my hand through this please- all the threads that could be

you've become a landscape to me mountains i return to in my heart these softened hearts, our child selves send me a poem again from far away we can still gather and cry drawing near where the new moon hides i'll visit in spring, hold this longing in balance nature has its own terms when settling into a new habitiat i find words that are born in the clouds above the lake i bathe in holding to these pages like they'll give me answers what if i don't like what they're saying? these old rooms have faded away the river is near, to listen to again only listen, only listen nature has its own terms when settling into a new habitat

forward 04:48
why oh why must we be tried by your authority? tell me do you intend to make anyone's life better but yours? cause we ain't got time and all you've got is lies people are trying to get by we ain't got time the water's getting high people are trying to survive forward through the ages, forward through the ages not backward into cages, not backward into cages there are babies with smiles on all sides we're missing because of the violence ask the earth how to cross the divide, she'll tell you with her silence cause we ain't got time and all you got is lies people are trying to get by we ain't got time the water's getting high people are trying to survive forward through the ages, forward through the ages not backward into cages, not backward into cages why oh why must we tried by our anxiety? couldn't we instead make amends for the sins of our fathers? cause we ain't got time and all you got is lies people are trying to get by we ain't got time the water's getting high people are trying to survive forward through the ages, forward through the ages not backward into cages, not backward into cages

waiting for the blood or the baby women you know too well yes, tender men too howling, homing in silence getting smaller, smaller everyday how do we stay alive? you ask me, touching your little body beware those who claim they know being lost is the way sweetheart preferred realities dropped, slackjawed bones, like bones it smells like bones in here, smells like bones in here my faith remains in the mountains who do not speak my faith remains in the oceans who do not speak my faith remains in the changes i do not seek it smells like bones in here, smells like bones in here my faith remains in the mountains who do not speak my faith remains in the oceans who do not speak my faith remains in the changes i do not seek my faith remains in the mountains who do not speak

what will be 04:35
pounding on the wind i fear you will not hear me pounding on my skin i fear you will not feel me don't be down on, don't be down on down on me, down on me standing at the edge i fear you will not see me standing at the edge i fear you will not hear me don't be down on, don't be down on down on me, down on me what will be, what will be, what will be stretching wider, stepping in open to love, open to pain stretching wider, stepping in open to love, open to pain sending signals miles away over on the astral plane seeing signals everywhere north, here, where we have been stealing time what will be...

this is a song about questions oh my dear, oh my dear like what are these words? and who are we? passing through, pushing through the years with you onward, on what does it matter all of our efforts? why don't we talk of matters of consequence like where is your fox? and where is your boy? have you been tamed? and what games do you play? do you play? onward, on the only rose i know you always were a rose, i suppose you always were a rose, i suppose i suppose, i suppose, i suppose

about

how do we stay alive? is the central question of woolen lover's debut album centered around questions.

through the layering of found sounds, vocals, luscious synths, and meaning, woolen lover presents this album that asks, lives, and perhaps at times touches on some answers to the questions of living.

at the least, the intent is to live (in this case, sound) the questions, as the poet rilke suggests.
